Privacy & data ✦ OurPride

Your privacy matters.

An understandable overview of the information this site does and does not collect.

What we collect

Browsing the public pages does not require an account. Your saved stories and quiz progress are stored only in your browser. We do not publish public reaction totals.

If optional community forms are enabled, submissions may store the name, email, subject, message and evidence link you provide in a private Cloudflare D1 database. A correction may be sent without an email. Newsletter-interest submissions are marked pending; no newsletters are sent automatically.

Infrastructure and anti-abuse

Cloudflare may process technical request data under its service policies. Where enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile helps prevent abuse. A short-lived hashed network identifier may be used for rate limiting; we do not store raw IP addresses in the submission database.

How information is used

We use submissions for editorial review and relevant follow-up. They are not automatically made public. We don't sell contributor email addresses. We do not claim submissions are encrypted end-to-end.

Ads and analytics

The Google AdSense publisher loader has been added to the site. Google may process browser data and use advertising cookies if ads are authorised to serve. Ad serving is subject to Google approval. Before activating ads, the operator must implement appropriate consent and privacy arrangements for visitors in jurisdictions that require them, including relevant EEA, UK and Swiss consent rules. No separate analytics tracker has been added.

Access and deletion

Before adding publicly available submission tools, the operator must publish a working privacy contact and retention schedule so people can request access or deletion. Do not submit personal information until forms are configured and the operator's contact details are visible.
