From Manicaland classrooms to a robotics event at the Zimbabwe National Defence University, Milestone College students developed an agri-mine robot conceived for tasks in agriculture and mining.

A September 21, 2026, news report says the Milestone team won the overall prize at the Robokorda International Robotics Competition, which attracted entrants from Zimbabwe and Malawi. The win belongs to the specific competition—not to a different global robotics championship.

The project should be recognised as a student prototype, not a commercially deployed mining or farming machine. OurPride invites details of the mentors, team members and engineering decisions from authorised sources.

The story connects to the college's separate World Robot Olympiad national category results, but the two events and their award levels must not be conflated.
