A school science-fair result is never only about one student walking onto a stage. The preparation includes classmates, equipment, teachers, experiments that fail and prototypes that need to be rebuilt.

Education Matters reported that USAP Community School brought 20 finalists to the 2026 Zimbabwe Science Fair and received nine major awards. The school's Physics and Robotics instructor, Alistar Panashe, was also recognised with a Research Teacher Award.

Those figures are from the school's own progress update; OurPride identifies their source rather than presenting an independent verification of every award category. This was the Zimbabwe Science Fair, not a claim of nine global world titles.

The report also celebrates the school's music and debate activities. We want national and international levels labelled clearly while recognising both students and the often-overlooked instructors.
