A nostalgic Zimbabwean music archive should remember not only lead vocalists but also instrumentalists. Edith WeUtonga brought the bass guitar to the centre of her performing identity.

Music In Africa records the formation of her Utonga project and debut album in 2010, followed by Runyararo in 2012 and Kwacha in 2013, with musical influences ranging from jit to jazz.

Her story connects early-2010s listening memories to Harare's wider live-music network, including the venues, organisers and collaborating musicians who sustained performances.

The catalogue dates matter more than invented personal anecdotes. If you attended one of those performances, your own consented memory is the part OurPride cannot manufacture.
