For many listeners Zimbabwean jazz was a night out, a live band and a familiar voice. Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana's performing career belongs in those memories.

Music In Africa's artist biography documents her long involvement with Jazz Invitation, touring with Tanga wekwaSando, and participation in the Cool Crooners' 2005 album Isatilo.

Katomeni-Mbofana also worked across acting and solo performance. A venue's role in a musician's development should be credited from sources, not assumed from where they once sang.

OurPride should invite licensed show posters, album dates and memories from fellow performers and audiences, without inventing what an individual is feeling today.
