Volunteer organisers, project managers and community mentors deserve recognition alongside athletes and musicians. In 2026, an international Junior Chamber International grant programme recognised a Zimbabwean chapter.

The official JCI Crocodile Foundation award list names JCI City Zimbabwe as the recipient of US$10,000 for Children’s Integrated Development and Empowerment (CHIDE), a programme focused on children and education.

The award is a grant commitment listed by JCI; it is not evidence that the completed project has already served a particular number of children. Delivery outcomes should be documented with project reports and beneficiary privacy protections.

JCI City Zimbabwe describes its chapter's activities as leadership development, community service, entrepreneurship and international cooperation. These programmes also create volunteer opportunities that need their own historical record.
