The arrival of books at a rural primary school may not make international headlines, but it can change what a child is able to read this term.

A September 25 report says the Rotary Club of Harare Central donated about 2,000 books to Mariga, Madzima, Mururi and Chikaka primary schools in Zvimba. Local school staff and community leaders participated in the event.

The 2,000-book figure belongs to that reported delivery; it isn't proof of improved future exam outcomes. OurPride wants to track actual library access, school experiences and ongoing book provision after the photographs are taken.

This is also a story about school librarians, teachers, volunteer logistics teams and donors whose labour often remains unnamed in community histories.
