On 30 August 2024, Zimbabwe was represented in the men's T47 100m Paralympic final by Kudakwashe Paidamoyo Chigwedere.

Official results give him a 10.78-second preliminary heat and an eighth-place final in 10.95 seconds. That final is part of Zimbabwe's athletic record whether or not an athlete stood on the podium.

Chigwedere and Tinotenda Nicole Bango were announced as Zimbabwe's Paralympic flagbearers. The two names deserve to be remembered together.
