World Athletics records Charamba eighth in 20.53 seconds on 8 August 2024. Fellow Zimbabwean Tapiwanashe Makarawu finished sixth in 20.10 seconds. Both reached the final by qualifying through rounds.
The Zimbabwe Olympic Committee outlines Charamba's school and university athletics pathway, illustrating how many years of practice sit behind a race lasting only seconds.
A finalist's record belongs in history even without a podium finish. The ambition is to document every serious competitive contribution with the right names, races and times.
