Marshall Munhumumwe was the singer and drummer associated with Zimbabwe's Four Brothers, a group formed before independence and subsequently known for its bright, guitar-based jit sound. One of its remembered songs, Makorokoto, celebrated independence.

In the late 1980s the group drew international attention and appeared abroad. The Four Brothers recorded BBC radio sessions for presenter John Peel beginning in 1988; The Herald's history of the group also traces these appearances.

Munhumumwe died in 2001. The recording history and enduring audience memories deserve careful documentation alongside the musicians, studios and instrument makers who helped shape the sound.

An original nostalgia feature could invite the public to share what songs were playing in taxis, school gatherings, kitchens or weekend parties—clearly labelled as personal recollections, not invented quotations.
